Title: Worked as volunteer clinical research scholar/assistant and later promoted to research assistant.
Research studies: (a)Adjunct Vortioxetine in schizophrenia (AVIS), (b)Adolescent Mood disorder study (AMDS), (c)Janson funded ARATEUS study, seeks to characterize bipolar prodromal symptoms in healthy children with parents diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and (d) MOBILITY, multisite clinical study to assess the efficacy of using Metformin in decreasing metabolic syndrome in patients prescribed with second generation antipsychotic medications.
Activities: My responsibilities included screening the recruited subjects based on eligibility criteria and conducted clinical assessments such as CAPS-5, MINI-7, MADRS, CSSRS, HAM-A, PANSS, SCID-IV and perform micro-EEG independently.
- Closely monitored treatment response to ketamine during and after ketamine infusion.
- Coordinated with the clinician, nurses, and the team for the study visit.
- Participated in bi-monthly inter-rater reliability teleconference

Title: Worked as volunteer research scholar.in Schizophrenia neuro-pharmacology research unit and PTSD clinic.
Research studies: (a) Studying the effects of Glycine transporter-1 inhibitor and cognitive remediation in decreasing cognitive impairments and negative symptoms in patients diagnosed with schizophrenia. (b) Testing the safety and efficacy of sub-therapeutic doses of Ketamine in patients diagnosed with chronic stress disorders such as PTSD and other anxiety disorders.
Activities: My role was managing the recruitment of subjects, baseline, and weekly clinical assessments, identified EPS using clinician validated scales.
- Daily monitored medication compliance of the participants through cell phone assisted remote observation of medication adherence.
- Participated in the comprehensive interview of the subjects enrolled in the study along with the attending, weekly grand rounds and entered collected data into a database.
