  • Inpatient psychiatry at Vidant Medical Center (VMC) Behavioral Health Unit, a 52-bed psychiatry unit with acute unit, medicine/psychiatry unit, dual diagnosis unit (intellectual disability and mental illness), and general adult unit.
  • Inpatient and outpatient experience at the Veterans Affairs (VA). Inpatient experience at the VA hospital in Fayetteville, NC, and outpatient VA clinic in Greenville, NC.

Developed medical students’ basic clinical psychiatric knowledge and skills to facilitate effective outcomes through increased understanding of the nature of psychiatric illness, early and accurate detection of psychiatric disorders in patients, and enhanced awareness of treatment options.

December 2020: M1 Behavioral Science Guest Lecturer, Brody School of Medicine. Greenville, NC. Assisted faculty in giving a didactic lecture on normal childhood development for preschool aged children to first year medical students.
