Residency Clinical Rotations

PGY 1

• 4 blocks of Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Pediatrics
• 7 blocks of Adult Inpatient Psychiatry
• 1 block of Inpatient Neurology
• 1 block of Outpatient Neurology

PGY 2

• 5 blocks of Adult Inpatient Psychiatry with ECT training
• 1 block of Outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• 2 blocks of Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry with forensics
• 1 block of Emergency Psychiatry
• 2 blocks of Geriatric Psychiatry (half-time for 2 months)
• 2 blocks of Night Float combined with Outpatient Psychiatry

PGY 3

• 10 blocks adult outpatient psychiatry(ECU Psychiatry Clinic, ECU Student Health Center, PORT Human Services)
• 2 blocks night float (ECU Health Medical Center) and outpatient psychiatry (ECU Psychiatry Clinic)

PGY 4

• 3 blocks Adult Inpatient Psychiatry (Senior Rotation)
• 2 blocks Community Psychiatry (ECU Health Washington Clinic)
• 1 blocks Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• 1 block Substance Abuse (Senior Rotation)
• 6 blocks Electives
• One half day per week in the Outpatient Clinic
